Samay is an NSF/NIH/VC-backed company ($3.7M) developing a chest wearable and an AI-enabled management platform for respiratory health (7 issued patents). Our technology can detect COPD with a precision close to 90% and air trapping, an early predictor of exacerbations and mortality in COPD, with a precision of almost 80% surpassing the standard of care at home by 133%. Samay has the potential to eliminate 10M early deaths from COPD and save the $200B the disease will cost in COPD hospitalizations over the next 20 years in the US. We’re working with world leaders in the respiratory industry (ResMed), Silicon Valley’s audio/DSP experts (Google), pulmonologists (PCSI), and world-renowned KOLs in respiratory care (COPD Foundation, Spiromics, COPDGene, etc).
